REYKJAVIK

It is in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, that our adventure will begin. It is in this pretty colourful city that we will get to know the group. By the time we get some supplies and get over the jet lag, we’ll be on Route 1 for our tour of the island.

ICELAND

HVERAGERDI

A beautiful little village, only 50 km from Reykjavik and with omnipresent volcanic activity, will be our first stop on the Ring Road. This will be our headquarters for a few days as we visit the Gullfoss, Geysir and Golden Circle sites. We will also take the opportunity to swim in the warm local river.

ICELAND

SKOGAFOSS

After visiting Seljalandsfoss Falls and swimming in a mountain pool, we will set up our camp at the base of Skogafoss Falls.

ICELAND

LANDLAMANNALAUGAR

It is in this national park, near the glacier, that we will do a half-day hike in nature. We will sleep there one night and explore the Fjadrargljufur canyon the next day. Breathtaking landscapes!

ICELAND

HÖFN

It is from Höfn that we will make a kayak trip through the glaciers, a unique and unforgettable activity. We will finally take advantage of the time we have left to rest in Hofell’s hot tubs.

ICELAND

MYVATN

The volcanic region of Myvatn will then be our headquarters for a few days. We will rest in the natural baths, see the mighty Dettifoss Falls, then explore Krafla’s lava field, its geysers and bubbling mud! The photos speak for themselves.

ICELAND

AKUREYRI

Overlooking the Arctic Ocean, Akureyri is a young and dynamic city often perceived as the country’s cultural capital. We will enjoy the few pubs, the nearby swimming pools and some beautiful views.

ICELAND

WESTFJORDS

We will end our adventure in the famous fjords of the northwestern part of the island, a rather wild region that is home to many animals such as seals and caribou. We will take advantage of the wilderness camping to fully appreciate the Icelandic nature.
